[Loki recognizes those sounds. How many eight-legged horses are there in the nine realms? Answer: not many. Besides if you were to ask Sleipnir, there were none so beautiful nor amazing nor powerful, etc. etc. etc. as he. Not that Loki didn't agree with all of the above, but he and his horsechild clearly had very different standards of modesty.

Not that Loki could really fault him for it - better that he find pride in his shape and in his position than live with the same self-hatred Loki had always harbored. The trickster was glad, at least, that was not something Slepinir had inherited from him.

Once he looks for him it is not difficult at all to find him. Even in the fog that gets into the worn-down warehouse, Slepinir is magnificent.
